Loading the Dishwasher - Do's and Dont's

Tips on Loading the Dishwasher

Load the dishes starting from back to front.
When unloading – start from the bottom rack to top rack to avoid excess water dropping onto the bottom dishes.

Top rack of the Dishwasher:

  • Glasses, cups, saucers
  • Dishwasher-safe plastics
  • Odd shaped utensils
  • Sauce pans, mixing bowls and similar items (face down)
  • Wine glasses (only if they fit without hitting the roof of the dishwasher).

Bottom rack of the Dishwasher:

  • Plates
  • Saucers and cookware
  • Large items such as platters, pots and bowls.
